Following the success of her second release Best Served Chilled, Scottish Jazz Award-winning Rising Star Rachel Duns returns with a powerful new interpretation reimagined by the world-renowned producer Opolopo.

Taking the jazz-infused, psychedelic drum and bass foundations of the original, Opolopo injects his trademark rhythmic finesse and deep electronic touch, transforming the track into a driving, dancefloor-ready remix. Rachel’s ethereal vocals are pushed into a fresh, high-energy space, with Opolopo’s masterful production amplifying the tension and groove.

The remix highlights the carefree atmosphere of the lyrics while propelling the urgency of the saxophone solo into a new dimension, a bold fusion of jazz intensity and future-facing drum and bass.

Rachel Duns Bio:

Saxophonist Rachel Duns quickly made a name for herself on the Scottish scene after being named 2021’s ‘Rising Star’ at the Scottish Jazz Awards; supporting Buster Williams in Glasgow and being included in The List Magazine’s 2022 ‘Hot 100’.

With her roots firmly in jazz, Duns’ influences range from blues and soul to the psychedelic sounds of the 1960s. Her powerful tenor sax sound - enhanced by a pedalboard, dreamy vocals and eye-catching stage presence and style make her one to watch.

Duns’ debut single ‘Make Up My Mind’ released in December 2024, amassing numerous plays on JazzFM and BBC Radio 6 in its first week.
